Racing games 1 2 next >TORCS - is a 3D racing cars simulator using OpenGL. The goal is to have programmed robots drivers racing against each others. You can also drive yourself with either a wheel or keyboard or mouse. TORCS is available on Linux and Windows. download page
VDrift - is a cross-platform, open source driving simulation made with drift racing in mind. It's powered by the excellent Vamos physics engine. It is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL) v2. It is currently available for Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X and Windows. download page
UltimateStunts - will be a remake of the famous DOS-game "stunts". This DOS-game, which was released in the early 1990's, can be downloaded on several abandonware sites, e.g. the XTC site . It is a 3D racing game, with simple CGA/EGA/VGA graphics and no texture or smooth shading, but because of the spectacular stunts (loopings, bridges to jump over, etc.) it was really fun to play. One of the best aspects of this game is that it had a track editor. Because of the tile-based tracks, every gamer was able to make it's own tracks. download page
Trigger - is a free rally car racing game. You race a sequence of 6 courses, with increasing levels of difficulty. Trigger is highly customisable, and it's easy to add new levels and vehicles. download page
